Join us to see the iconic Rainie Falls on the Rogue River. We will hike to the rocks overlooking the falls and look for fall run Chinook salmon as they try to jump the falls on their way to seek spawning areas upstream.

The trail at McGregor Park along the Upper Rogue River is a quiet, leafy walk. We will stop at locations along the river to look for spawning Chinook salmon who start arriving here in early September. We will also drive a short distance to Big Butte Creek where there is typically a good view of spawning fish visible from the Crowfoot Road bridge.

Join Rogue Riverkeeper for a moderately easy, out-and-back walk along the Bear Creek Greenway. Along the way we'll talk about riparian ecology, fire restoration, and some of the local flora and fauna who call Bear Creek home. If we're lucky we may even see a salmon or two along the way.

Join us for an evening to view salmon spawning at the Provolt Recreation Site over a happy hour picnic! We will provide light snacks, and you are welcome to bring your own beverages (BYOB). This will be a fun and educational evening learning about the native fish in our region.

Enjoy a leisurely bike ride and see spawning salmon in Bear Creek! This is a "bring your own bike" ride. Children 6 and up are welcome; they should be able to bike independently and be in control at all times. Helmets required!

Every autumn, migrating Chinook salmon make their way up the Rogue River to spawning grounds in tributaries throughout the Rogue and Illinois Valleys. Join KS Wild for an easy walk to learn about the salmon lifecycle and view wild salmon spawning in the beautiful Illinois River.
